Portfolio Management & Capital Markets

We help you understand how disciplined portfolios are built, governed, and adapted over time.

CapSolutions GmbH is a Munich-based advisory practice. Our team shares the frameworks, research, and market perspective behind portfolio management, investment fund advisory, and capital markets solutions — for informational purposes only.

Who we are

A quiet, research-led practice at the intersection of markets and long-term stewardship

We believe good advice is measured in decades, not quarters. Our team spends its days studying portfolios, funds, and the capital markets that shape them, and we are glad to share what we learn along the way.

Founded in Munich, we began as a small circle of analysts who wanted to talk about portfolio construction differently — with more patience, more context, and fewer shortcuts. That conversation has grown into CapSolutions GmbH, a practice dedicated to explaining how portfolio management, fund advisory, and capital markets solutions actually work in practice.

We are not a bank, a broker, or a paid advisory desk. Everything you find here is informational: our observations on how allocation decisions are made, how funds are structured and monitored, and how capital markets activity influences the choices institutions and individuals face.

Areas we write about

Three lenses we use to describe capital markets work

Each of these reflects a body of knowledge our team studies and discusses — not a service we sell. Visit our expertise page for the fuller picture.

Portfolio management

How allocation frameworks, rebalancing discipline, and risk budgeting come together across market cycles.

Investment fund advisory

The governance, due diligence, and reporting practices behind well-run pooled investment vehicles.

Capital markets solutions

How issuance, liquidity, and structuring decisions connect companies with the capital they need to grow.

How we approach the work

We write for people who want to understand markets, not just react to them

Our narrative style comes from years of sitting across the table from clients who asked good questions and deserved thoughtful, unhurried answers. We try to bring that same tone to everything we publish here.

We would rather explain the reasoning behind a portfolio decision than hand someone a number and ask them to trust it. — From our internal research notes
